Last Friday, Queensland celebrated World Teacher's Day. I am very proud to be part of
the team of educators here at Sacred Heart where our teacher's consistently go above and
beyond to help our students. In the classroom they are working on implementing
curriculum changes as well as facilitating learning for all our students who strive to learn in
many different ways. At lunch time you will find them providing play opportunities from
lagoon time fort building, handball competitions, and footy skills to structured play, Lego
club and time in the Library or Japanese club. You will find our educators out sharing their
lunch break with students always taking the time to get to know their students and how
they can best support them.
After school or in the time where their students are with another teacher they are
analyzing data, planning learning opportunities that will engage and excite, making
adjustments so that every child can access their learning and collaborating with the
specialists we have in our school. Everyone at Sacred Heart has learning at their heart and
it is exciting to be able to watch it unfold as we see our students develop and flourish in
themselves and their learning.
So from the bottom of my heart - thank you to all our educators; our teachers, school
officers, admin, specialists, everyone who works to contribute to the learning of our young
people!
Regards,
Sarah
