This morning, we welcomed Mr Durm O’Riordan, Deputy Executive Director, Brisbane Catholic Education, to our school for a 'Meet & Greet'.

Mr O’Riordan attended morning assembly, visited classrooms and experienced the famous Sacred Heart morning tea tradition – a cup of tea and cake.

Did you know? Upon her deathbed, Mother Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, asked her community of sisters to “be sure to have a comfortable cup of tea when I am gone.” The comfortable cup of tea symbolises hospitality and kindness for Mercy and a tradition that we continue to honour at Sacred Heart.
